Sam has been excellent with our Labrador Retriever. We can see the improvement in him since Sam first met him. Her communication with me and my wife has always been spot on.

We have been taking our dog to classes with Sam since she was a pup and they are great.
Sam is really knowledgeable and patient. We have learnt loads and always enjoy the classes.

We have learnt so much from our puppy classes with The Helping Paw, despite not being first time dog owners! Sam is a kind and patient teacher who is generous with her time and genuinely passionate about helping owners to understand their dogs. Her knowledge of dog psychology is amazing and she shares it in a calm and accessible way. Children are welcomed into class and encouraged to participate, which also helps with consolidating new commands and skills back home. We cannot recommend these classes enough and only wish we had met Sam sooner when we had our previous (anxious and reactive) dog.

We cannot recommend Sam highly enough. We have used a few dog trainers and Sam is head and shoulders above them all. Never any judgement - just simple, practical tips which make a real difference. She has given us invaluable support with our very anxious and highly prey-driven whippet and we are extremely grateful to her.

Fantastic session! Everyone was set up for success but it was also an environment where dogs and handlers alike were challenged to learn a thing or two! I've got a new game to try out with my dog that I didn't know before and I feel like I understand some of his behaviour a little better too. Hopefully I can develop this some more over future sessions :)

Sam has been amazing since she took on Bailey. She has been walking and training him several hours a week. He is like a different dog since seeing Sam! He looks forward to his time with Sam as much as Sam looks forward to seeing him 😁
For the first time since rescuing Bailey we now have a calm dog we can happily take out to visit people and do family outings 🤩
Honestly would give Sam 10 stars if I could.
Absolute life changer!

Sam is fantastic! She's not only fantastic with dogs, but a lovely people person. She explains everything clearly and with connections to real life, as well as ensuring you never feel silly with any questions. She is a dog whisperer, reading body language and teaching you about what to watch out for and how to react. I've come away feeling so much more confident, a huge amount more knowledgeable and positive about the future. I couldn't ask for any more and would recommend her in a heart beat to anyone needing support, kindness and absolutely no judgement. Results come with that!
